It was approved by the FDA in 2002 due to its effect on the treatment of glabellar (eyebrow) lines.<\/p>\n<p>BTX has 7 different serotypes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G). Today, only A and B subtypes are used for treatment. Commercially produced and used Botox\u00ae and Dysport\u00ae are made of serotype A and Myobloc\u00ae is made of serotype B.<\/p>\n<p>Myobloc\u00ae: FDA approval in cervical dystonia. Studies with patients who developed antibodies to Type A have been reported. It is not approved for cosmetic use.<\/p>\n<p>Xeomin\u00ae: It is a new product that is produced only in Germany and produced from nontoxin protein weighing 150 kDa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>EFFECTS AND APPLICATION AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BTX works by making temporary but irreversible muscle paralysis. Its effect starts in 2-3 days, reaches maximum effectiveness in 7-10 days and lasts for 4-6 months. Practical application areas such as eyebrow, forehead, eyebrow lifting, crow&#8217;s feet, neck bands, lip streaks, masseter muscle for chin and face shaping, and hand-foot-armpit sweating treatment, strabismus, blepharospasm, cerebral palsy, migraine and trismus There are medical applications such as etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONTRAINDICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BTX is not available in some cases.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Existing muscular diseases [neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Eaton-Lambert syndrome, motor neuron diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and peripheral motor neuropathic diseases]<\/li>\n<li>Infection at the injection site<\/li>\n<li>A known hypersensitivity to any substance in the formulation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Patients receiving aminoglycoside antibiotics or other drugs that affect neuromuscular transmission (non-depolarizing blockers such as cura, calcium channel blockers, quinidine, magnesium sulfate, succinyl choline)<\/p>\n<p>It is not recommended to use it in pregnancy and lactation since it is not known exactly whether it passes into breast milk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>STATUS OF MUSCLES AFTER APPLICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After the product is applied, it is spread over an area of \u200b\u200b2.5-3 cm.
